If you haven't tried them yet get a pack of Butteries- better yet the cinnamon ones. Both of them are amazing!
We hadn't had meat pies in a few years. One day my husband had a craving for meat pies and googled Ackroyds. We had them for dinner that night! The meat pies were just like we remember. Ordering online was easy and pick up was convenient. We'll definitely be back.

That being said, pick up at the warehouse is better than nothing. The meat pies are just exactly the same as when I was growing up. So good. Black pudding was perfect. Butteries?? Delightful! My children are 4th generation of shoppers at the bakery, and they miss the store too. We loved buying the Scottish newspaper and reading about local news there. And munching on tea and treats of course. I hope you never close completely because Ackroyds is a part of my childhood I have passed down to them and they love it too. See you again soon!
The only difficult thing was figuring out that it was the gray building without any obvious signage. Once we pulled into the lot and found a small sign with information on calling to have your order brought out, the service was pretty quick. It will be easier the next time.
Excellent sausage, tasted as good as would get in the UK. Made superb sausage and mash to watch England beat Norway.
