Edmund P. When I was a kid, my mother would make Melton Mobray pork pies. They had a special crust, and we ate it cold, with pickled onions. Ackroyd's pork pies remind me of those, although I enjoy the Ackroyd pies warm, also with pickled onions. Pork pies may be more "ethnic" than ground beef pies, but if you haven't tried them, you should.
