Each year our church hosts a Burns Supper after our mass closest to the actual date. This year, we have grown significantly as a congregation and everyone was looking forward to the event. The amazing team at Ackroyds not only got the haggis to us in plenty of time but answered questions for us each step of the way.
The best part was how it came out! “Warm. Reekin’. Rich” indeed. Our haggis were flawless. The two presentation haggis split open during my address to the haggis and the crowd made an audible gasp. The taste, as I brought sample to each table, was given a resounding approval from each table.
We are so grateful for this company and their dedication to quality. I would like to give feedback on how folks enjoyed the butteries… but I ate them all in advance of the dinner. Beyond gold.
I've have haggis many times in the Old Country, and I think this is as good as anything I've had there. I've not had other versions in the US, but I don't see any reason to stray from Ackroyd's. I've served this to many haggis skeptics, with encouraging results. While not everyone has become a huge haggis fan (it is a bit of an "acquired taste"), I've never had anyone refuse at least a first helping!
Great haggis from Ackroyds. Made a wonderful dish for this years Burns Nght, and a’ willnae be waiting till next r year for ma next haggis!
We've ordered and heated the haggis before for our annual Burns Suppers and have not been disappointed with the taste or presentation. Even our friends who are not "keen" on haggis have loved the taste. We've added a touch of whisky and on the side the whisky sauce - all make it "one delicious dish". We're still enjoying some leftovers.
The best American made haggis. I introduced my friends to this haggis and they really liked it.
