Many Ackroyd's customers are accustomed to Fern Cakes. Bakewell Tarts are just like Fern Cakes, except ours have more almond flavor. We start with a 4" Wick's Pie Shell (contains lard), fill it with strawberry jam and almond cake, and finish it with a layer of handmade icing and toasted slivered almonds. Each Bakewell Tart can easily serve 2, meaning there are 8 servings per 4 pack.

These are more like a bakewell pie than a tart. They are huge! The description says you can share each one and have an eight pack. Or not…. The taste just has that bakery freshness you don’t get in the smaller boxed ones.
