My wife and I had been craving these since being back in Scotland last year. In fact, black pudding was the one thing she asked for on her birthday. I couldn’t say no, but where to find proper black pudding? Ackroyd’s. Period. I’d enjoyed these at a friend’s for breakfast after a stateside Burns Night. These are legit. Seasoned perfectly, delicious mouthfeel, and so tasty. Of note, the cooking instructions deserve a special shout out—they nailed it! We cooked half to enjoy by themselves, and the other with a cider cream sauce and poached pear. We’ve already ordered it again.
I use it to make bean stews (fabada, cassoulet, with garbanzo and North African spices). Much less expensive than imported.
